SOLO SEA KAYAK :: P&H CETUS

The Cetus is both a fast cruiser and load carrier: it is the natural choice for paddlers looking for a stable expedition kayak or a fast, easy boat for long distance paddles. Currently, the Cetus is available in three sizes, from smallest to largest: the Cetus 176 LV; the Cetus 178 MV and the Cetus 1710 HV.

The shallow V hull combined with the length of the Cetus add up to a fast, efficient boat. The fairly wide hull means rock solid stability whether you’re travelling loaded or not.

All Cetus models have a fourth hatch that is at an easy to reach position in front of the cockpit. This hatch is an easy stow for a camera or day gear. This mini-hatch is just plain nifty.

The Scorpio is the RM version of the very popular Cetus. Scorpio is available in two sizes: the larger Scorpio 170 and the Scorpio 168 LV for the smaller paddler.

The Delphin turns traditional sea kayak design on its head and challenges many preconceived ideas of how a sea kayak should look and behave. The stern of the Delphin has been squared off, and the cockpit moved aft so the bow just kisses the water. While underway, the stern engages and aids tracking. This combination is unique to the Delphin creating a kayak that is long enough to paddle like a traditional sea kayak on flat water with enough speed to keep up with the pack but will transform into a new genre of free-ride sea kayak when it hits moving water, coming alive in tide races, over falls and surging water.

The Delphin has hard chines in the bow and soft chines in the stern allowing for fast pick up on waves. The flat mid-section hull provides for a most manoeuvrable sea kayak. The Delphin spins like a white water kayak to get you out of those sticky situations like crossing fast flowing races. The squared off stern and rear weighting creates a longer water line, allowing for good speed and tracking.
